I met Volt by accident;
I joined with a purpose.

Imagine if I didn’t stand up in that crowded bus to let everyone know the next stop was our campsite.
Volt Denmark was still more than a month away from its founding general assembly in July 2018;
We had fun though, and by August I was waving a 5 meter Volt Pride flag at the Copenhagen Pride Parade.

We all have a story on how we met Volt, became active – why we are working for a united Europe.

My drive in Volt has always been on empowering people to develop a progressive and united Europe with opportunity, equality, justice and wellbeing for all its citizens.

What keeps me going on those long nights is the drive and energy you see in the eyes of Volt members.
We share a vision of a Europe that can do better and be more on so many fronts – and we’re here to make that change happen.

I have been growing Volt as an organisation for more than 5 years in many different roles. We have matured – yet, we still have far to go and need to be more politically active at all levels.

Throughout all of this, my goal has been to see where I can do the most good for our party and it has been my pleasure to serve.
I firmly believe that we are in a unique position, and at a crucial point in time, where we can create a federal Europe that can change the world for the better.

My ambitions for Volt are bigger than my capacity and I am ready to dedicate myself fully to our shared European project; for a sustainable, prosperous, empowering and diverse future.
That is why I am running as a candidate for co-president of Volt Europa.
That is why I need your vote – for a better Europe.

Best regards,
Thor
